The dynamic duo that was the M3 Coupe and M3 Sedan has become the fearsome threesome with the addition of the M3 Convertible. The newest team member combines the retractable hardtop introduced on the 3 Series with the same lightweight, 414-horsepower V8 engine found in its fixed-roof M-badged predecessors. Transmission options include a requisite six-speed manual and BMW's new M Double Clutch automatic that promises big improvements versus the automaker's defunct SMG unit. The M3 Convertible will start around $66,000 when it arrives in showrooms this summer, but expect it to command a heavy price premium at the outset.
